Terms of use
The terms, in language you can actually read.
These terms govern the Ol-ga website and application, operated by Olga Technologies Sdn Bhd of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Using Ol-ga means you accept them.
1. What Ol-ga does
Ol-ga introduces professionals to other professionals whose stated purpose complements theirs, at events, venues and workspaces. It lists events and spaces, and may take registrations or bookings for them.
2. What Ol-ga is not
We are not a party to anything you agree with someone you meet through Ol-ga, and we take no commission on it. We do not verify claims people make about themselves, their companies or their capabilities. Where a document has been supplied to us we may record that it was collected; that is not a statement that it is accurate, current or sufficient for your purposes. Do your own diligence before you contract with anyone.
3. Who may use it
You must be 18 or older and using Ol-ga for professional purposes. One account per person, in your own name. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. What you tell us
Keep your stated purpose and your professional details accurate. Misrepresenting who you are or what you do is grounds for removal, because everything Ol-ga does rests on the assumption that people are who they say they are.
5. How you behave
Ol-ga exists to make professional introductions worth having. You agree not to use it to send unsolicited sales material at volume, to harass, threaten or abuse anyone, to misrepresent an affiliation, to scrape, copy or resell anything you see, to attempt to identify people who have not agreed to be introduced to you, or to break any law that applies to you. Report, block and mute are available on every conversation; we act on reports within 24 hours.
6. Your content, and ours
What you write stays yours. You give us the permission we need to store it, show it to the people you have chosen, and operate the service. Everything else — the Ol-ga name, mark, software and design — belongs to us, and nothing here transfers any of it to you.
7. Privacy
Our privacy notice explains what we collect and why. In short: we do not read the content of your conversations, we do not sell your data, and nobody sees your identity before you both agree.
8. Paid services
Where you register for an event or book a space through Ol-ga, that arrangement is between you and the organiser or venue, on their terms, including their cancellation and refund rules. Prices are shown before you commit. Any subscription is billed as stated at sign-up and can be cancelled for the following period.
9. Availability
Ol-ga is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running, particularly on event days, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, a particular number of introductions, or any commercial result.
10. Ending it
You can delete your account at any time, from inside the app or at ol-ga.com/delete. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost business, lost profits or indirect losses arising from your use of Ol-ga, and our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
If we change these terms materially, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Kuala Lumpur have jurisdiction.
